Cragganmore Scotch Whisky
Cragganmore Scotch whisky distillery was built in 1869 by John Smith in the Estate of Ballindalloch, after the owner of the castle granted him the rights.
Now one of Diageo’s six “Classic Malts”. (One from each region).
The distillery draws its water from the Craggan Burn, a source of fairly hard water. It also uses unusual flat-topped stills and T-shaped lyne arms, all factors that could add to the whiskies complexity.
