Dufftown Scotch Whisky

Dufftown Scotch whisky distillery is located on the south side of Dufftown and draws its waters from Jock’s Well in the Conval Hills.

Dufftown lies at the confluence of the Rivers Dullan and Fiddich on their way to the Spey. The town has seven distilleries one of which bears its name.

The Dufftown-Glenlivet Distillery Co. founded the Dufftown distillery in 1896. This was not a purpose built distillery but a conversion from an old meal mill.

During 1933 Arthur Bell & Sons Ltd acquired the distillery with their take over of MacKenzie & Co The whisky from the distillery becoming an important component of the Bell Blends
