Glenfiddich Scotch Whisky

Glenfiddich Scotch whisky distillery has been in the Grant family throughout its history.

In September 1886, after 20 years of saving from his annual salary of £100, William Grant bought some second-hand distillery equipment and land near the River Fiddich in Speyside. With his wife, seven sons, two daughters and one stonemason they built the Glenfiddich distillery with their bare hands. The entire project cost £800. On Christmas day in 1887, William Grant and Son’s Glenfiddich Pure Malt Whisky ran from the stills.

Glenfiddich means ‘Valley of the deer’

Distillery Style

Nose : Honey, apples and pears, light spice.

Palate : Complex fruit, sweet maltiness.

Finish : Medium to long, with fruit, vanilla, honey,

  sometimes smokey.

Glenfiddich Toasted Oak 12 year old Ltd Release

Nose : Maple syrup, marshmallow, pineapple, grapefruit.

Palate : Light and delicate body. Dry, lightly spiced, wine gums.

Finish : Quite short
