Glenlossie Scotch Whisky
Glenlossie Scotch whisky distillery was built in1876 by John Duff & Co.
The distillery was closed in 1917 by Government order due to war and barley restrictions, however re-opened in 1919.
In March 1929 the distillery was severely damaged by fire.
Warehouse No 3 was build in 1955 with additional warehousing added in 1960, 1965 and 1975.
During.1962 the number of stills were increased from four to six. The following year new larch washbacks where installed.
At some point in 1972 the stills were converted to steam heating supplied by oil-fired boilers.
On site is a dark grains plant, which processes draff and pot ale from 21 different distilleries. On a weekly basis, it can process 2600 tonnes of draff and 8 million litres of pot ale to produce 1000 tonnes of dark grains which is used in animal feeds.

Distillery Style
Nose : Honey and heather, newly sawn wood.
Palate : Light to medium bodied. Malt and barley, creamy, honey.
Finish : Long and very smooth.
