Knockando Scotch Whisky
Knockando Scotch whisky distillery was established in1898 to take advantage of the Cardnach spring water, which has been described as being of particularly high quality for whisky production.
The distillery is located at “Cnoc-an-dhu”, Gaelic for small black hillock, between the villages of Knockando and Archiestown.
Kockando-Glenlivet Distillery Co was taken over by W. & A. Gilbey Ltd in1904.
In 1962 ownership passed to IDV Ltd, formed by joining of W. & A. Gilbey and Unwin's, owners of Justerini & Brooks.
Knockando is a major contributor to J&B blends.

Distillery Style
Nose : Very light and delicate. Fresh, grassy, heather.
Palate : Light and creamy. Gentle fruit, honey, salty!
Finish : Delicate fruit and nutty.
Knockando 12 year old 1995 Distillery Edition 43%
Nose : Light with heather and honey, floral.
Palate : Delicate fruit, smooth, malty and creamy.
Finish : Nutty with more of the above.
Knockando Old Malt Cask 14 year old 50%
Finished in a Bourbon Barrel Cask Ref; 4863
Distilled September 1994 and bottled January 2009.
Nose : Immediate toffee and vanilla, lightly spiced.
Palate : Smooth and creamy with oak and barley.
Finish : Dry and spiced.
