Mannochmore Scotch Whisky
Mannochmore Scotch whisky distillery was built by John Haig & Co in 1971 to contribute to Haig’s blends.
The distillery is situated south of Elgin and sources its water from the Mannoch hills.
The distillery was mothballed in 1985, however was reopened in 1989. Mannochmore was made available as single malt in 1992.
In 1996 Mannochmore released an experimental Single Malt whisky called Loch Dhu. A black looking whisky ‘Loch Dhu’ means ‘Black Lake’ in Gaelic.

Distillery Style
Nose : Fresh and fragrant. Malty with a hint of smoke.
Palate : Medium bodied. Intense barley, oaky, fruity.
Finish : Vanilla and oak with increasing sweetness.
